Estelle is back!  She is busy running around attending events around the country.  I don’t know anyone who works as hard as she does.

Idris Elba is having a stellar year already.  His new movie ‘Obsessed‘, filmed with Beyonce Knowles, was the highest grossing film taking in $28.5 million in ticket sales for Sony Corporation.  It beat ‘Mean Girls‘ for the for the best last-April-weekend opening ever.  He was also sighted at a pre-draft party with Osi Umenyiora and Michael Strahan, and at the British Academy Television Awards.

Akon performed at the 2009 Billboard Latin Music Awards while Sheek Louch, Styles P. and Bemmi shot the D-Block “Get that Paper” music video in the Brooklyn borough of New York City. Singer/producer Loick Essien was at the Sony/ATV Music Publishing ASCAP pop music awards after-party.

Liya Kebede attended the Smart Cookie awards and will be on the cover of the May issue of ‘Vogue’ magazine. Alek Wek was at a a cocktail reception benefiting the Food Bank For New York City called “Bank It”. Designer Modou Dieng attended the Persol event at the Otto zoo art gallery in Milan, Italy.
