Jamming Reggae and More Drama on Project Fame
The drama continued with judges and faculty disagreeing on the choice of students put on probation this week on Project Fame West Africa. After Saturday’s highly emotional double evictions of Ijeoma and Wilmot, the students were tasked to perform some reggae hits.
Benedicta, Onyemeachi, Praise, Dorcas, Inyanya, Caroline, Nii, Sopriye, Annette, Bisola, and Kojo, sang: ‘Red, Red Wine’, ‘Wild World’, ‘No Woman No Cry’, ‘Waiting In Vain’, ‘Jah Love’, ‘Reggae Nights’, ‘Me Love’, ‘Now That We’ve Found Love’, ‘Dedicated To The One I Love’, ‘Redemption Song’, and ‘Different Colors’ accordingly.
Unfortunately the sad reality set in at the end of the night when Nii, Dorcas, Sopriye and Caroline were put on probation. The inclusion of Nii and Dorcas in the list didn’t settle well with the faculty.
According to the faculty, Nii and Dorcas were not meant to be on probation because their performance was well above average, and so was their interaction with the public. The judges responded that, Nii needs to get out of his comfort zone and Dorcas did not connect as much as she could.
So what happens next? I really hope that Dorcas and Nii would be saved by the public and judged on Saturday and based on Sunday’s performance show, Sopriye should be the one to leave since he had the weakest performance. I think that the public vote may go to Sopriye or Caroline since Nigerians carry the most votes without a doubt.
I just wish that points were allocated for votes from across the four participating countries rather than leaving it to majority number of votes. That’s just food for thought. By the way I have realised that the organisers of the show have replaced those ridiculous plastic seats. I guess someone is listening! LOL!
